【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61290appliestoopticalfibreamplifiers(OFA)usingactivefibres,containingrare-earthdopantscurrentlycommerciallyavallable．TheobjectofthislnternationalStandardistoestablishuniformrequirementsforaccurateandreliablemeasurementsofthesignal-spontaneousnoisefigureasdefinedinIEC61291—1．Thetestmethodindependentlydetectsamplifiedsignalpowerandamplifiedspontaneousemission(ASE)powerbylaunchingopticalpulsesintotheOFAundertest．TheASElevelismeasuredbysynchronouslymeasuringthepoweronanopticalspectrumanalyzer(OSA)duringtheopticalpulseoffperiod．TheaverageopticalsignallevelismeasuredbyrandomsamplingintheOSA．Suchmeasurementispossiblebecausethegainresponseoftherare—earthdopedOFAisrelativelyslow．particularlyinEr—dopedOFA．However,sincetheOFAgaindynamicsvarywithamplifiertypes,operatingconditions,andcontrolschemes,thegaindynamicsshouldbecarefullyConsideredwhenapplyingthepresenttestmethodtovariousOFA．ThemanufactureroftheOFAshouldpresentdatavalidatingtherequiredmodulationfrequencytolimittheerrorto
