【摘要】:Thethicknessofacoatingisoftencriticaltoitsperformance.Thiseddy-currentmethodisnondestructiveandissuitableformeasuringthethicknessofanodiccoatingsonaluminum,aswellasthethicknessofmostnonconductivecoatingsonnonmagneticbasismetals.Thistestmethodrequiresthattheconductivityofthesubstratebethesameinthereferencestandardusedforcalibrationadjustmentandinthecoatedarticletobemeasured.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheuseofeddy-currentinstrumentsforthenondestructivemeasurementofthethicknessofanonconductivecoatingonanonmagneticbasismetal.Itisintendedtosupplementmanufacturersx2019;instructionsfortheoperationoftheinstrumentsandisnotintendedtoreplacethem.1.2Thistestmethodisparticularlyusefulformeasuringthethicknessofananodiccoatingonaluminumalloys.Chemicalconversioncoatingsaretoothintobemeasuredbythistestmethod.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
